Frequently Asked Questions
Question: When I submit a URL, all I get are broken images. What's up with that?
The site you stripped from probably doesn't allow deeplinking (or hotlinking). Deeplinking is linking to an image from a different domain than the image is on. A lot of 'free' hosts like GeoCities disabled deeplinking, so people can't link to the images and drain bandwidth.

Question: The images load really slow, could you make it faster?
No. I'm not responsible for the images. If you're stripping images from a slow website it's obvious that the images load slow, there's nothing you can do about that, except for getting faster internet or complaining to the owner of the original website.

Question: Your site is displaying adult/copyrighted/etc. material, you can't do that!
I am absolutly not responsible for the images. People use Strip Dir to view images, it's only a viewing script, it doesn't have anything to do with the actual content of the images. If it's really important that the Strip is removed, then you can request so by clicking the appropriate link on the page.

Question: Is Child Pornography allowed on Strip Dir?
Absolutely out of the question! If you find a Strip that contains any Child Pornography, report it immediately and it will be removed and have it's site banned from Strip Dir ASAP.
|
Question: What did you use to write Strip Dir?
Strip Dir was written in PHP. I used DzSoft PHP Editor to write and edit the code. The Strip storage system uses MySQL.
|
Question: Is the Strip Dir source code availible for download?
When I wrote Strip Dir it wasn't exactly my intention of creating an open source script. However, I might release an open source version of Strip Dir when I've worked out all the bugs and made it exactly like I planned it to be, which is not at this time!

Question: What ever happened to that "Download in a Zip" feature?
That was a bandwidth monster, I had to take it down. It consumed 42 GB worth of traffic in a matter of days and my wallet was starting to cry. I will put the feature back in the future, when proper arrangements have been made.

Question: My question isn't awnsered!
